Proposal Photography at the Enchant Christmas Maze

I love proposal photography, there are always so many raw emotions at display and I really enjoy the anticipation, the planning for the perfect capture and the big surprise. This past Christmas I got the privilege to photograph a beautiful proposal between Michelle and Matt at the perfect Christmas location; The Enchant Christmas Light Maze in Arlington.

Matt contacted me a few weeks before Christmas to plan the shoot, we went through the game plan and agreed to scout out the event in advance in order to find out the best spot for the proposal to take place.

Most proposal photography that I do are shot in true "paparazzi style", the fiancee never knows that there is a photographer until the actual proposal has been made, then I jump into the action and reveal myself and get some close ups shots of the couple, in this occasion I also shot a short portrait session around the Christmas Maze.

This proposal was very fun but presented us with some challenges that we had to take into consideration. It was a cold day before Christmas eve and the event was completely full with people. Another challenge was the proposal shoot had to take place at night, and I didn't want to start using the flash to early and risk to compromise the surprise factor.

But with careful planning, the right photo gear, selection of location and the right timing we got the perfect proposal photos that we are known for at IGOR Photography.

The proposal moment:Did she say yes?, It's pretty safe to say that she did judging by her smile from ear to ear!

Michelle was so surprised and her face lit up in awe and happiness when Matt kneel down, her smile was priceless and the joy and love was at full display. These are the kind of moments that I live for, it makes me so happy to witness and it makes me believe in goodness and in humankind. I always get very emotional and my heart beats fast. It's so exciting!

I continued to shoot through Michelle and Matt's reactions, smiles and laughter. After the proposal, Michelle and Matt walked through the maze, got some hot chocolate in the cold, and I continued to take candid photos of them as they were walking and interacting. We also did a few posed photos when I saw a great backdrop.

It was the perfect proposal photo session, so much fun and we got some amazing looking photos!

I wish more people would hire a professional proposal photographer in Dallas and Fort Worth, it's such a joyful and important moment to capture properly.

A Rainy Botanic Garden Engagement Session

We get asked pretty often by our couples "What's the best place to choose if we want a variety of places to shoot, with greenery and foliage"? and although we have several green locations to choose from our standby choice is often the Botanical Garden of Fort Worth, it's often convenient, inexpensive and the variety of backdrops is endless. Our couple Pi & Kyle, wanted their session to be fun and casual.

Pi and Kyle were very outgoing and it came across in their engagement pictures, at Igor Wedding Photography we do not let bad weather get in the way or reschedule, we invite the challenge, as the saying goes.. " A little rain never hurt anybody" and the rain often makes for some fun, and interesting shots, and it applied to this day as well, they met and graduated at FIU, so the umbrella served as a significant reminder of where they both fell in love and played a part in shielding them from the rain as well. We do not often use props, but we believe if it helps in telling your story or holds some symbolic meaning, then by all means they should be incorporated, and, it is always fun to try something new and creative.

Contact Igor Wedding Photography today and let us capture your story and create some amazing Imagery!

When looking for a home country feel with all the classy elements you couldn’t find a more perfect wedding venue with all the qualities you need then at the Hollow Hill Farm Event Center in Weatherford, TX.

This wedding venue crafted out of love is a family run business with unique features such as the ‘Old Town’ which includes a western replica of a Jail house, a School and a vintage store displayed with trinkets, fully furnished rooms with beautiful hand-made touches, such as The Bunk house (the grooms room) and The Cantina (the brides room). The attention to detail is amazing on all the buildings, decor and landscaping.

Artistic Engagement Photography in DFW

The country landscapes this venue provides are breathtakingly beautiful, you could have an outdoor ceremony at their Pavilion or in the romantically lit Barn House.

When approached by our Bride to be Sascha and her fiance Brad she relayed to us she wanted something country inspired, preferably a red barn for their engagement photos. Hollow Hills Farm is the first venue that came to our mind, since this venue provides the perfect country backdrops and scenery to create timeless country engagement and wedding photography.

Japanese Garden Engagement Photography in Fort Worth

My most recent engagement photography session was at the beautiful Fort Worth Botanic Garden and at the Japanese Garden, on a marvelous winter day. This was a perfect day and photo location for Alex and Jason's Fort Worth engagement session. Their love and joy was intense, and plenty of kisses where frozen in time, it was a blast capturing it frame by frame.

I have photographed more engagement sessions at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden than my brain can remember, but this location still remains fresh for me and every session I do there still has a new look and feel. There are so many areas within the gardens that have all different looks and that are perfect for engagement photography during all the months of the year. If you are planning an engagement photography session in the DFW area, you should definitely consider the variety of the Fort Worth Botanical Garden and the smaller and very lush Japanese Garden for your engagement photos.
