Our bride Sara and our Groom Seth were so much fun to work with, when planning for her engagement shoot, she asked for somewhere woodsy, possibly with bridges, to go along with their Fairy Tale wedding theme.
She decided on Trinity Park for her engagement session location, and it was a perfect location! Trinity Park is located in Fort worth conveniently near the Botanical Gardens, it provides an array of backdrops from the large overgrown, winding trees, to charming bridges, a duck pond and a great view of the Downtown skyline.

Sara & Seth stay true to their faith and had us incorporate pictures with her grandmothers bible and her and her groom in prayer. We love to stay true to what captures you as a couple in your natural state.

Engagement Session at the Hollow Hill Farm Event Center

When looking for a home country feel with all the classy elements you couldn’t find a more perfect wedding venue with all the qualities you need then at the Hollow Hill Farm Event Center in Weatherford, TX.

This wedding venue crafted out of love is a family run business with unique features such as the ‘Old Town’ which includes a western replica of a Jail house, a School and a vintage store displayed with trinkets, fully furnished rooms with beautiful hand-made touches, such as The Bunk house (the grooms room) and The Cantina (the brides room). The attention to detail is amazing on all the buildings, decor and landscaping.

The country landscapes this venue provides are breathtakingly beautiful, you could have an outdoor ceremony at their Pavilion or in the romantically lit Barn House.

When approached by our Bride to be Sascha and her fiance Brad she relayed to us she wanted something country inspired, preferably a red barn for their engagement photos. Hollow Hills Farm is the first venue that came to our mind, since this venue provides the perfect country backdrops and scenery to create timeless country engagement and wedding photography.

Dallas Engagement pictures at Las Colinas

I had tons of fun doing Jessica and Wesley's engagement session by the beautiful Mandalay Canal at Las Colinas in Irving. The area around the Mandalay Canal has always been one of my favorite spots for engagement pictures in Dallas. The area has such a great southern European charm to it and is perfect backdrop for a classy engagement portrait session. I can't wait to photograph Jessica and Wesley's wedding at the Old Red Museum in Dallas, they are so much fun to shoot.

Engagement session in Burleson - After the storm

On a stormy but beautiful spring day I got the privilege to capture the engagement photos of Elizabeth and Shawn at the Deer Creek Stables in Burleson, Texas. As the the worst of the storm passed us by we got blessed with an amazing sky and sunset. It was truly an engagement session to remember.

Why should you get engagement photos?

Why should I schedule an engagement photo session? Couples and other people ask me that question all the time.

The simple answer to that is that you like and value photography and that you want to document your engagement with some professional engagement photos, and that it's also an excellent chants to get comfortable with your wedding photographer before the big day, and that on top of that you can use the engagement photos for the "save the date" cards and the reception table book.

These are all good reasons, but the most important reason to have engagement photos taken is one that most people don't think about. No bride, no groom, no wedding photographer, ever seems to consider.

The real reason is because photos are not for today! Think about this, some periods of life are very short. A tiny window of time that perhaps may be only a few months or a few years long. A really thin slice of life, really, compared to your entire life.

But yet what happened in this small, tiny window of time is disproportionately huge.

Something happened that changed the rest of your entire life.

In that tiny window of time, small little miracles happened.

Because in that tiny window of life, you found someone. And they found you.

You fell in love. They fell in love with you.

This is the start of something big, a commitment to each other, and maybe the start of new life into this world.

This changes a lot of peoples life, like a ripple effect in a lake it affects everyone around you. And in time, the descendants you have brought forth by virtue of your commitment, will affect new generations in the future.

Think about it! You have basically changed the course of the world, you have contributed to the future of this planet.

I know I'm getting carried away thinking about it, but this is in essence why I can say that your engagement is very important. It's a very short period in your life that has a very significant impact on your loved ones, your family and maybe to the world.

That's why it's such an important sliver of time to celebrate and document with beautiful engagement photography, to have this time forever preserved so it's there to be seen whenever you wish to remember, to revisit this important time in your life and feel the joy and emotions again, and of course the same goes for the important wedding photos. These timeless photos are for the rest of your life to enjoy and for your descendents to love!

So that's my long answer and reason why you want to have an engagement session and engagement photos.
