6 Trending Bridal Jumpsuits

Getting married is one of the most exciting times of your life. The big day comes and goes so fast, but the planning that leads up to it can feel like a lifetime. Figuring out the venue, food, music, seating, and guest list can seem like a lot, but nothing prepares you for when you go dress shopping. A traditional bride wears a white wedding gown that most of the time she has been dreaming about since she was a little girl. However, times are changing, and brides are encouraged more and more everyday to stand out and try something new. For example, as jumpsuits have started to trend, they have also made their way into the wedding industry. We’re seeing a lot of brides pull off the most beautiful and elegant bridal jumpsuits. If you think you'll never be caught dead in a jumpsuit on your wedding day, then you must not know about all the styles and options that come with it. Here are 6 bridal jumpsuits to consider for your big day, that your wedding photographer will make you look great in!

Wide Leg Jumpsuit

Most brides who want to make the switch to jumpsuit but don’t want to give up the flowy look to their outfit will go for a wide leg bridal jumpsuit. These jumpsuits are exactly as they sound and are often mistaken for dresses. The bottom half of the jumpsuit is flared out through the legs, but the top part of the dress can be anything you’d like. A lot of the wedding wide leg jumpsuits have spaghetti strap tops or are strapless to balance out the total look.

Plunging Neckline Jumpsuit

We can’t get enough of the plunging neckline jumpsuits. The jumpsuit is a standard boot cut or straight leg cut, but the neckline plunges to show off just enough skin. We recommend finding a style that is a halter top or made from satin or silk. If you’re going for a minimalist look then this is the style to go for as the neckline gives it just enough personality to give you that “wow” look.

Strapless Jumpsuit

Most brides dream of having the perfect heart-shaped neckline wedding gown and with a bridal jumpsuit, you don’t have to give up that dream. So many bridal jumpsuits offer a heart-shaped neckline with sparkles and bling to please even the biggest of bling divas. If you’re looking for something more subtle, go for a strapless jumpsuit that has a straight across neckline and pair it with a belt to show off your curves.

Off the Shoulder Jumpsuit

Off the shoulder jumpsuits are a beautiful, yet simple way to pull off the bridal jumpsuit of your dreams. We’ve seen this style trending for a while now and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. A lot of brides will have a wedding dress for their ceremony and then change into this look for the reception to have more freedom to dance and greet their guests.

Ruffled Jumpsuit

If you’re a lover of all things ruffles, then this is the jumpsuit for you. Just because you’re opting for a jumpsuit instead of a dress doesn’t mean you can’t have ruffles. Bridal jumpsuits offer ruffles along the shoulders of the jumpsuit, but also along the legs in some cases too. The ruffles can make the jumpsuit appear to be a dress just like the wide leg jumpsuit so you can get the best of both worlds.

Long Sleeve Jumpsuit

If you’re looking for an elegant and classic look then keep your eyes out for a bridal jumpsuit with sleeves. Incorporating sleeves into your jumpsuit on the big day is a way to add some personality to the jumpsuit without overdoing it. Considering going for a long sleeve that’s made of lace for a truly traditional and elegant look.

Preview of an awesome bridal session at Lake Worth. This shoot was a lot of fun. It was a bridal project that I wanted to do for a long time. It's my version of a "trash the dress session". Thank you Kate for fighting against critters and stings, you were a real trooper, also thanks a lot to Jenny for being our super great make up artist and staying with us trough the night, and thank you Carl for being a great assistant. I will post several new photos from this shoot later this month. Please let me know what you think of this shoot and "trash the dress bridal sessions" in general?
